About the Skatepark
Hooton Reserve Skatepark was built as an extension to an existing bowl, adding a peanut bowl and street-style path with varied obstacles. The design supports long flowing lines through a creative layout that includes brick textures, rocks and coloured concrete elements set among native planting.
The clover bowl and peanut bowl provide different riding experiences within the same facility. Street features such as ledges and rails extend options for skaters who prefer flat-ground or transition elements alongside the bowls.
The skatepark forms part of a well-equipped reserve that also hosts a playground and basketball courts, making it suitable for mixed-age groups. The adjacent BMX facility at the reserve is a separate installation opened in 2018.
